Courses Business Majors should take:

Most of the courses required for entrance into a MBA program are also required for graduation in the School of Business.
Additional courses that are recommended include:

Managerial Accounting
Business Finance
Business Policy

Note: Some MBA programs require one year or more of related work experience in addition to the education requirements.

Courses Non-Business Majors should take:

Different schools have different requirements for admission, a complete business background is not necessary, but a good
understanding of business concepts is required. The following courses will aid in scoring well on the GMAT or GRE and earning entrance into a quality MBA program. Several of these courses are suggested, but not necessarily required for entrance into an MBA program.

Principles of Accounting I & II*
Principles of Economics I & II*
Business Finance
Business Statistics*
Business Information Systems/Management Information Systems*
Legal Environment of Business*
Principles of Marketing*
Management and Organizational Behavior*
Managerial Accounting
Production Management
Business Policy

Note: Some MBA programs require one year or more related work experience in addition to the education requirements.

Graduation Requirements:

124 credit hours
Minimum GPA of 2.0**

Deadlines I need to know:

Degree audit must be completed in March/October, one year before expected graduation
GMAT must be taken in January of graduation year

Financial Aid Opportunities:

Many scholarships and grants are available for the MBA program of study if your undergraduate GPA and GMAT/GRE scores are high enough. A good web site to search for an MBA scholarship is http://www.college-scholarships.com . Also be sure to check with the school you plan to attend to see what scholarships they can offer you.
