Pearl Market

The Temple of Heaven is a historical site in central Beijing reminding onlookers of ancient times when the emperor offered sacrifices to Heaven. The early ceremonies parallel the Judeo-Christian concepts in Genesis.

In the early morning , hundred of Senior Citizens can be found in the surrounding park exercising, dancing, playing ancient instruments, and participating in other social activities.

The Great Wall extends 6,000 Kilometers from the Bohai Sea to the Gobi Desert . It is a symbol of China 's unification under the emperor Qin Shi Huang.

The Great Wall at MuTianYu is about one hour north of the outskirts of Beijing . It is one of the most scenic spots to visit the wall with wooded mountains forming beautiful panoramas.

Nowhere can this be seen better than at the downtown Bund (street running along waterway). Shopping abounds on Nanjing Road and on weekends, the Pudong development area across the river provides a beautiful scene, lit by its towering skyscrapers.

Only $1,995 per person *
inclusive of international airfare, domestic transportation, accommodations,
meals, entrance fees, trip insurance, and Chinese visa.
Course tuition, passport, and personal expenses are not included.


The primary purpose of this trip is an educational experience for students enrolled in ECON4073/MGMT 4073/MKT 4103. Class meetings are Tuesday afternoons during the Spring Semester. Maximum student enrollment is 30 for the course and 40 total participants on the trip.


NOTE
: Due to recent regulations changes participants who do not already have a current passport should apply immediately. Forms are available at http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html.

Priority list:

 

 

•  Category I – ATU undergraduate students up to 30 students. •  Category II – ATU faculty, staff, ATU family members up to 40 person maximum •  Category III – Community members to fill vacancies up to 40 person maximum
Payment schedule :
  • Only $1,995 for ATU students who register by November 2, 2007. $2,295 after then.
  • Only $2,295 for non-students who register by December 1, 2007. $2,495 after then.
  • Some fees are subject to change due to currency fluctuations.
  • Tuition and fees will be as per usual ATU fee payment schedule and amounts
Trip payments to ATU Student Accounts -- China Experience are required as follows:
  November 1, 2007: $1,000 (non-refundable air reservation deposit)
  January 18, 2008: $750 (hotel/lodging reservations)
  February 8, 2008

$245 (ground transport, tours, meals, visa, insurance, etc.)
